What happened to the Wordle archive?The entire archive of past Wordle puzzles was originally available for anyone to enjoy whenever they felt like it, but it was later taken down, with the website's creator stating it was done at the request of the New York Times. Hidden object games have been around for decades - they've existed well before computers, when people searched for objects in paintings and printed drawings - but Hidden Folks was a distinct step forward. De Jongh calls Hidden Folks a "searching" game; objects are certainly hidden, but the game is more than just spotting objects.
